Sri Sri Ravi Shankar returns to Bangalore

KOLLAM: Art of Living Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar returned to his Ashram
at Bangalore from here on Thursday afternoon after completing the
five-day visit to the city. “Very nice and good” was his comment on
his visit to Kollam.  Guruji arrived here to attend the Maha
Shivaratri celebrations held at the Ashramam Maidan.

This is the first time that Ravi Shankar is attending Maha Shivaratri
celebrations outside his Ashram. Tens of thousands of people had
participated in it. He also attended the workshop on health and
happiness at the same venue for the next three days.

A mass wedding ceremony of 56 couples, including four from outside the
State, was the first programme he attended after his arrival here on
February 22. He also inaugurated three Gnana Kshetrams at Puthur and
Kadakkal, both in Kollam district and Nooranadu in Alappuzha district.

He also laid the foundation-stone for a Gnana Kshetram at
Kottarakkara.  On Wednesday evening, while addressing the health and
happiness programme, he advised the devotees not to vote for those
candidates who bribe for votes. ``You should accept the money and not
vote for the same candidate.”

He stressed the importance of exercising the franchise in a democracy.
