Mind Matters

About Meditation!

For thousands of years, the wise of many of the world's cultures have offered that key: meditation. Deep within each and every person lies a field of pure, unlimited, creative potentiality—and through meditation this field may be directly experienced and lived. Indeed, this reservoir of pure energy and intelligence is none other than one's own inner awareness, the silent field state of pure Being from which all thought and feeling arises.

When the active mind effortlessly settles to rest in this unbounded, inner awareness of Being, it becomes balanced, empowered, filled with peace, anchored in its own essential nature. Finally, one comes Home, to discover one's true Self.

All in all, meditation is much more than stress management; it unfolds the individual's full potential. It makes life better. It has been said that the human mind is the greatest natural resource we have. Shouldn't we intelligently develop that resource? To live life to the fullest, and for the sake of the world, nothing could be more important.

Well too much of explaination is given but i am sure it will not give you the experience!

Yes! This day is going down in the History! And you have a reason to cheer about it! Cause you could be a Part of it!

Ask me What! Ask me Why and Ask me Who !

Well, if you already didn’t know, don’t worry it’s not a shame that you failed to notice the posters or the newspaper about it!

So, what’s really happening? 5000 Musicians from all over India are here to make History by sharing a stage together! And why should they? Well, it’s the basic driving force (often ignored) of every human being – To Make a Difference! If you are charged up to be a part of making a difference Hop-On to our strides! If you are not, just don’t sit idle, come and support those who REALLY do!

Now a days, it’s become a fashion to “Be the Change” it was Gandhi, Steve Jobs, Obama, now… it’s Sri Sri Ravishankar! HE who envisioned such a huge project! Impossible, so to think.. Possible if you DO! That’s the inspiration that gave birth to the Audacity to thousands of people be a part of this Amazing Day! If you think it’s no big deal! I agree! It’s no big deal for us too! We already have an eye on “bigger” projects!

I am no Super Human. But I can Dream Big! And sometimes those Dreams do come true!

Bhakti Concert!

The World Alliance for the Youth Empowerment (WAYE) under the aegis of
Art of Living is working towards empowering youth physically,
spiritually, economically and socially so that they can excel in their
personal and professional lives and therefore be more productive and
proactive in their contribution to the society.


The most powerful asset to any society is its youth, and India is
fortunate to have more than 75% of its population under the age of 35
years. Therefore building the capacity of the youth is fast emerging
as the most critical need of our times. WAYE, through its life skills
programs, has successfully empowered hundreds of thousands of young
people with tools and techniques to overcome challenges with ease and
joy.



WAYE is proud to organize the “BHAKTI CONCERT” for the people of
Chennai. The concert would be held on 4th Sept 2010 from 6 pm to 9 pm.



"Bhakti" promises to be a joyous evening of melodious music flavored
with devotion and wisdom. The evening will comprise performances by a
young talented group of YES!+ graduates led by renowned classical
vocalist, Mr. Harshal Pulekar. These performances will be interspersed
with short stories about devotion from the Indian epics and our own
lives by Mr. Khurshed Batliwala and Mr. Dinesh Ghodke - Directors of
WAYE.



The proceeds of Bhakti will go towards building Centers for Youth
Empowerment (CYE), which will serve as an epicenter of knowledge,
meditation, art, dance and music for India's most vital asset - her
youth! As yoga and meditation are being recognized more and more as
tools to a more sensitive, holistic and sustainable leadership, CYE
will provide a fertile ground for India's future sustainable leaders.


So, come and be part of this youth revolution and help in building the
future leaders of India

Mission Green Earth '10

A few inspired come together to act and made a difference to the City of Chennai on Augsut 1^st, 2010. The inspired junta of YES!+ planted sapling at GKM college of Engineering. 30 saplings of Neem and Punga were planted in just 1 hour! Not just plantation, the saplings will be taken care for the next one year!

The plantations were done under the aegis of Mission Green Earth project initiated by Art of Living organization. The aim is plant 10 million saplings across the globe. The Tamil Nadu team aims to plant 10 lakh saplings by the end of December, 2010 and this was one of the smaller steps of a giant leap towards protection of the environment.

Many of them planted the saplings for the first time which made the event memorable for every individual. The holes were dug a day prior to the day of plantation by a few super inspired YES!+ volunteers. It was an eye opener for Amit who dug such holes for the first time. He now wonders how the daily wage workers work so hard each day….It took 6 people 6 hours of hard work to dug the 30 holes…To their amazement, their enthusiasm circumvented the exhaustion and there was great sense of satisfaction on each ones face!

On the day of plantation, Arunachalam uncle, the head gardener of GKM College honored us by planting the first sapling. He instructed the right method to plant the sapling. This was followed by an organized planting by the youths of YES!+ team and college students. 7 groups of 5 people each were made and each group planted 6 to 7 saplings in a period of little over one hour!

It was one of such events where each one had a lot of fun and a lot of learning’s to take back home! Trees are need and answer for combating the man made pollution. If each one takes responsibility to plant and take care one tree, the earth shall have 6 billion more trees on this planet! The onus lies on Us. Hope this small step inspires many youths to come together for more plantations!
